|
Our next All Hands Reunion will be held in Jacksonville, Florida,
beginning on Thursday, September 9th, 2010, and ending on Sunday morning,
September 12th, 2010. This will be our first reunion east
of the Mississippi River, which should be of great benefit to those
of you who live on the east coast. Hopefully we`ll meet a lot
of new shipmates who have not been able to attend prior reunions.

For this reunion and for the first time, we are using the services
of a professional reunion company, the
Military Reunion & Locator Service, Inc.
They will handle all of the event planning, the publicity, the notices
in all appropriate publications, the hotel reservations, and they will
be working with us
to make this our best reunion. They have lined up the
Crowne Plaza Jacksonville Riverfront
on the St Johns River in downtown Jacksonville for our reunion and banquet. It`s an excellent
3 star hotel.
The reunion room rate will be $117 per night, subject of course to any increase
in local room taxes, etc. All reservations must be made through Military Reunion & Locator Service, Inc.
and not the hotel directly, in order for
us to get the reunion rate and
meet our goal
for a free hospitality room by the count of our required minimum block
of rooms.
To make reservations, please contact
Dina at MR&LS, Inc.

Please SAVE THE DATE on your calendar and schedule as our reunion will be here before you know it.
We will keep you advised of events and details as they are ironed out, as well
as any reunion costs such as banquet costs and food choices. All events and tours
will be individually priced so you can go to any or all by paying the cost
for each event or tour.

It will be wonderful to see shipmates again! Make an effort to be there
as we know you will enjoy being in the company of your shipmates once again!

Our USS LYNDE McCORMICK (DDG-8) Unincorporated Association has no dues
or other similar membership requirements as any shipmate who has ever served
on board as ship`s company or staff is an automatic member of our association
and is welcome to attend all reunions and events. Any funds we collect come
from shipmates who are willing to contribute a few non-tax deductible dollars
to keep us up and running. One continuing cost is our website which
our webmaster and shipmate David Newham does an outstanding job of maintaining.
