Hi, Good to see the McCormick have a web site to help keep the memories alive.

we no longer have a useable copy of the counter battery 8mm film. When I digitized the copy Phil Macauly sent me, it disintegrated as it went though my projector. I was able to capture most of the film in a digital format and used some of that when I edited the cbcb67.mpeg file. You may also want to look at the Counter Battery clip on the DVD page of my personal web site below. All the usable video I got from the 8mm film is in that clip. Of course, there was no sound so I added some audio I had of the Huntley Brinkley report. I also added the sound of the guns firing. I had audio I had recorded of Thunder's big guns and used that. I did not have audio of McCormick's guns, so I used audio I had made of the HMAS Perth firing for that. It was quite time-consuming to synchronize the muzzle-flash with the bang, but it was also fun.

If you haven't seen it, I have more info and pix of the shoot-out on my "War" page below. Good Luck with your site, Dexter Goad.
